Masamoto Sohonten Co., Ltd. build their name in the knives industry for more than 150 years. From its founder Minosuke Matsuzawa effort on studying the forging of knives to the next generation adaptation to maintain the quality of Minosuke Matsuzaw’s hard work. They also maintain Minosuke Matsuzawa wants; to remain a name for this job.

They officially use as a registered trademark of Masamoto Knives, Azumabashi, after brainstorming this is the Japanese Character that they decided to use. Since the first generation Minosuke’s “正” (“Masa”) character could not be register due to a knife store in Osaka was already using the name. Known to be the no.1 Sushi Chef Manufacturer in Japan and also abroad.

Masamoto Sohonten Japanese Knives

A yanagi knife made of High Carbon Blue steel that met the highest quality traditional Japanese knife, recommended for Professional chef. This is handmade polished to a mirror finish. The handle is made of ebony wood designed with two silver rings.

Masamoto KH Damascus Honkasumi Gyokusei-ko

This series of knives are made of multi-layer Damascus with a core of Blue Paper No.2 Yasugi steel. This Knives requires special care to avoid rusting and chipping. The handle is made of Magnolia wood, design with two colored wood ring and is in shaped of Octagonal figure that fits better comfortably to your hand.

Western-style Knives
